Tatra Farm started with partners Patricia Garthwaite Towle and Pavel Blaho in 1984. After a Jr. career riding in the Medal/Maclay division under Hugh Kerrigan, Patricia graduated Centenary College and then trained with olympian Edith Master and competed in FEI level dressage. Her career brought her to the prestigious Kent School as a faculty member teaching in the riding department. Later, she and Pavel started Tatra Farm. Under Pavel's guidance she became a 3-time winner of the Saratoga Cup Grand Prix; 1994 with On Target, 1995 with Summer Fling and 2000 with Aly Ad Libs. She also won the NY Horse and Pony Classic with Obscure II. Her career has been mostly focused on developing young jumpers, often born at Tatra Farm, and developing riders, many whom started as working students. Pat was introduced to Magnum in 1998 and went to the Continental Young Jumper Championships in Monterrey, MEX with him in 1999, placing 4th overall. Later, the two competed in the Grand Prix division. He is now retired to stud. After recent spinal surgery Patricia is not showing as often, but continues to ride, teach, and train daily. She oversees the daily operations and training at Tatra. Her training highlights include winning the 100K Grand Prix with Blue Danube at HITS/Ocala 2008 as well as a National Championship with him in 2005 and a reserve with Adonis in 2006. Patricia has also ridden many champions at the IJF. In 2002 Patricia married David Towle, president of Rio Vista Products. Together with their dogs Pootwo and Kokomo they own Tatra Farm in NY.
